About Me

I'm a photographer in Swakopmund, and I point my camera at three things: families, couples, and food. Sounds random, I know, but it's all the same hunt really. I'm after the honest stuff. The laugh someone didn't plan. The look between two people who forgot I was there. The plate of food so good it's gone the second I lower the camera.

Here's how a shoot with me usually goes. First, we chat. I'll throw some fun facts and silly stories your way, you'll tell me yours, and somewhere in there everyone stops being stiff and starts being themselves, which, conveniently, is when the good photos happen. And if there are kids involved, well, I'm not above a bit of bribery. Plenty of “smile and mom and dad will get you ice cream” happens on my shoots.

Then comes editing, and this is where things get less glamorous. Picture me curled over my PC like a shrimp, music blasting, going through every single frame. Not just the pretty posed ones, but the weird, giggly, in-between ones too, because those are almost always the real keepers.

A few things about me. I'm bossed around daily by two dachshunds named Peanut and Cocoa. I'm an FPS gamer at heart, and yes, in December 2022 I flew to Bali to represent Namibia in a Counter-Strike tournament (still can't quite believe that one happened). And I run almost entirely on coffee and dark chocolate. The darker the better.
