1. Editing Terms

Editing is a detailed and time-intensive process. Final edited images may take up to three (3) weeks or longer to be delivered, depending on workload and season.

Clients are kindly requested to be patient during this process. Quality is prioritized to ensure the best possible final result.

2. Booking & Deposit Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking date and time.

Bookings are only confirmed once the deposit has been received.

Deposits are strictly non-refundable, including in the case of cancellations.

3. Rescheduling Policy

Clients are allowed a maximum of two (2) reschedules per booking.

Rescheduling must be requested at least 24 hours in advance to allow accommodation of other clients.

If:

• More than two reschedules are requested, or
• Notice is given less than 24 hours before the shoot,

the deposit will be forfeited and a new booking and quotation will be required.

4. Late Arrival Policy

Clients are expected to arrive on time for their scheduled session.

A grace period of 15 minutes will be allowed. After 15 minutes:

• The session time will be shortened accordingly, and
• The full session fee will still apply.

If a client is more than 30 minutes late without prior communication, the session may be considered cancelled, and the deposit will be forfeited.

Maja Carstens Photography will not be held responsible for lost shooting time due to late arrival.

5. Weather Clause (Outdoor Shoots)

Outdoor shoots are subject to weather conditions. Swakopmund weather can be unpredictable, including strong winds, fog, sandstorms, or rain.

In the event of unsafe or unsuitable weather conditions:

• Maja Carstens Photography reserves the right to reschedule the shoot.
• Clients will not be charged an additional fee for weather-related rescheduling.

If a client chooses to proceed despite weather concerns, Maja Carstens Photography cannot guarantee specific results.

Weather-related rescheduling does not count toward the two allowed client reschedules.

6. Intellectual Property & Website Content

This website is owned and operated by Maja Carstens Photography. All content displayed on this website — including text, graphics, photographs, images, illustrations, branding, and software (“Content”) — is the property of Maja Carstens Photography, its licensors, or its content providers.

All elements are protected by copyright, trademark, moral rights, and other intellectual property laws.

Except as expressly permitted in writing, no portion of this website or its content may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed in any way.

All rights remain the exclusive property of Maja Carstens Photography unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You agree to indemnify Maja Carstens Photography against any losses, costs, or damages resulting from unauthorized use of the content.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use this website in any way that:

• Causes damage to the website
• Is unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful
• Distributes malicious software
• Involves scraping or automated data collection
• Sends unsolicited commercial communications

8. User Content

If you submit content (including text, images, audio, or video), you grant Maja Carstens Photography a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use and publish such content.

You confirm that your content:

• Is lawful
• Does not infringe third-party rights
• Is not subject to legal disputes

Maja Carstens Photography reserves the right to remove or edit user-submitted content.

9. No Warranties

This website is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Maja Carstens Photography does not guarantee:

• Continuous availability of the website
• That the website will be error-free
• That all information will always be accurate or current

10. Limitation of Liability

Maja Carstens Photography will not be liable for:

• Direct or indirect losses
• Consequential damages
• Loss of profits, business, or data
• Website downtime
• Issues arising from third-party links
